Poll of recent grads

Do you consider being a U of T graduate an important part of your identity? If so, you are like the 600 alumni who participated in a national Environics survey of recent graduates who received their degree between 1988 and 1998.

According to the poll, almost all recent graduates have fond memories of their time at U of T, and three-quarters would want their children to attend. Not surprisingly, those who lived in residence feel the closest bond; nearly two-thirds describe their U of T memories as very fond. However, while grads are loyal to their Alma Mater, many don’t attend university events: Only about one in five of the respondents have taken part in reunions, alumni events and lectures since graduation. The main reason for skipping? Many just don’t have the time and live too far away to attend. But those who make it to the affairs often enjoy the chance to socialize with old friends.
