U of T professors have earned three of four Killam Prizes awarded this year by the Canada Council – Paul Brumer of chemistry, Fergus Craik of psychology and Tony Pawson of medical genetics and microbiology. And three professors received fellowships from the prestigious American Guggenheim Foundation – James Arthur of mathematics, Anthony Feinstein of psychiatry and Sajeev John of physics. The proliferation of high-profile prizes is “a clear indication of the world-class scholars we have at U of T,” says Professor Heather Munroe-Blum, vice-president (research and international relations).
