Reflecting on a lakeside view before a storm – a penny for your thoughts
During a cottage trip to Haliburton, Ontario, in fall 2012, U of T electrical engineering grad Prasanta Bose and his friends cut short a boat ride to avoid a coming storm. While they sat in a small cabin, listening to the clamouring thunder and waiting for the rain to start, Bose’s friend’s dog, Ben, in a rare moment of calm, stopped running and stared out of a window overlooking the lake and surrounding hills.
The rustic setting and the unexpectedness of the brief respite inspired Bose to capture the image: “I was lucky to be near him at the right moment. The environment of the moment motivated me to take the shot.”
