On rainy days, U of T alumnus Stephen Attong (NEW 2015) often finds photographic inspiration in puddles in the road. Upon seeing the Soldiers’ Tower reflected in a puddle while passing by Hart House, he snapped it, turning his iPhone upside-down – a trick he discovered to catch more of the reflection. “You just have to be careful not to drop your phone!”

Attong fell in love with photography while living in Toronto. He says, “I want to highlight the lives of other people who otherwise may go unnoticed through photojournalism.” Though his studies were in history, the European Union and sociology, he credits U of T for his creative development and dreams of working for National Geographic. Remarking on the Boundless banners displayed across the St. George Campus, he hopes there is room for one more. He says, “U of T taught me to think this way.”
