U of T Magazine congratulates the winners and runners-up in the 2013 Short Story and Poetry Contest.

Judges in the U of T Magazine Poetry contest selected “A Missing Child,” by U of T student Jessie Yao as the winner. Yao also won the Readers’ Choice portion of the contest.

Judges in the U of T Magazine Short Story contest selected “Corduroy” by Adam Giles (BA 2002 UTM) as the winner.

Our judging panel selected “Jamal and the Sea,” by Andrew Lee (BSc 2000 NEW) as runner-up in the story contest and “Subjunctive Moods,” by Sandra Lloyd (BSc 1984 UTM) as runner-up in the poetry contest.

Due to online voting problems, we decided not to name a winner in the Readers’ Choice portion of the short story contest this year. This is a disappointing result, but we would nevertheless like to thank everyone who voted.

Thanks to all who entered and congratulations to all finalists!
