On a clear night, when the sky is filled with stars, the front campus field is a quiet spot in the centre of a hectic city.
I found these nights very romantic, and I managed to line up at least one soulful kiss with every girlfriend I had (this was relatively easy – there weren’t that many) in the centre of the field.
I didn’t explain this to my wife (who didn’t attend U of T) when, during a trip to Toronto, I made sure we claimed the spot for us alone.
