Sydney was brought a little closer to home during the Olympic Games when U of T athletes found themselves on the podium.
U of T medical student Emma Robinson and her teammates won a bronze medal in the women’s eight, which proved to be the only rowing medal for Canada. In another water sport, four women from University of Toronto at Mississauga half of Canada’s synchronized swim team captured the bronze in that event. They are: Catherine Garceau, Erin Chan, Fanny Letourneau and Clare Carver-Dias.
