It was another banner year for the University of Toronto on the slate of international university rankings released this past fall. “We are pleased to be recognized once again as the premier university in Canada, and to be named among the world’s very best,” says Meric Gertler, U of T’s president. “Our continued strong performance is a testament to our world-class education and research, as well as the excellence of our faculty, staff and students.”
Since 2011, U of T has consistently placed in the top 25 internationally. This year, the Times Higher Education report ranked U of T eighth among public universities, while QS put U of T at 13th overall for academic reputation.
