Forty-three donors, including Indigo Books and Music founder Heather Reisman, have raised more than $1 million to fund the Frank Gehry International Visiting Chair in Architectural Design at U of T. The donation was matched by the university to create a $2-million endowment. Gehry (LLD Hon. 1998), a Toronto native, is one of the worlds pre-eminent architects. His work includes the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. “The chair recognizes Frank’s record and legacy and allows students to learn from the best minds in architecture,” says Reisman.
