Call it Smart TV. In a unique partnership between two of the provinces leading educational institutions, U of T is playing host to a four-part series on globalization broadcast live by TVOntario from the Munk Centre for International Studies at Trinity College. Before a studio audience made up primarily of first-year political science students, guest panelists debate the pros and cons of one of Canada’s central public policy issues. “Globalization is reshaping our lives, our policies, our culture and our institutions,” says Professor Janice Gross Stein, series organizer. The first segment, looking at the impact of globalization on Canada, was broadcast last October. The final segment on March 28 deals with the politics of globalization.
